About this Research Topic
The goal of this special edition Research Topic "Advanced imaging methods in exotic (e.g., small mammals, avian exotics, reptiles, amphibians, gastropods, insects) laboratory and wildlife animals" is to show the progress made in past years on the development and using of imaging methods in various animal/organ/tissue anatomy, physiology, ecology, behaviour and/or pathology/disease in exotic and wildlife animal species. This article collection will inform and provide further possibilities of using imaging methods not only researchers, but also veterinary clinicians, biologists, and students.
This article collection is focused on state of art research articles, the use of advanced imaging methods or novel approaches in exotic and wildlife animal species. Articles focused on laboratory animals are also welcomed (rodents, rabbits, carnivores - dogs and cats excluded, monkey, etc.) Suggested research topics:
- Computed tomography or micro-CT
- Magnetic Resonance
- Endoscopy
- Echocardiography
- Radiography
- Ultrasound
- Correlated imaging
Only relevant articles to the Research topic will be acceptable.
Keywords: Radiography, Ultrasonography, Computed tomography, Magnetic resonance, Endoscopy
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
