About this Research Topic
To this end, Frontiers in Education is organizing a series of Research Topics to highlight the latest advancements in the field. This editorial initiative, led by Dr Eileen Scanlon, Specialty Chief Editor of the Digital Learning Innovations section, is focused on new insights, novel developments, current challenges, recent advances, and future perspectives in the field of digital learning innovations.
The Research Topic solicits brief, forward-looking contributions from editorial board members that either describe the state of the art or highlight the changes needed to move the field forward. Authors are encouraged to identify the greatest challenges in the sub-disciplines, and how to address those challenges.
The goal of this special edition Research Topic is to shed light on the progress made in the past decade in the digital learning innovations field and on its future challenges to provide a thorough overview of the state of the art of the digital learning innovations field. This article collection will inspire, inform, and provide direction and guidance to researchers in the field.
We welcome articles of the following types: original research, systematic review, methods, review, policy and practice reviews, hypothesis & theory, registered report, technology and code, study protocol, mini review, perspective, case report, community case study, conceptual analysis, curriculum, instruction, and pedagogy, policy brief, brief research report, data report, general commentary, and opinion.
