About this Research Topic
The aim of this research topic is to focus on current state-of-the-art studies and future perspectives encompassing WS disease pathogenesis, natural history, management and discussion on future therapeutic interventions.
Specific themes of interest, relating to WS type 1 and type 2, include but are not limited to:
• Disease pathogenesis and modelling
• Natural history and follow-up of patients
• Current and future treatment perspectives, including new or repurposed drugs and gene therapy, for any of the clinical features
