About this Research Topic
This special issue will give an overview of the use of nanomaterials in the development of advanced nano-based nutraceuticals with improved bioavailability, solubility, encapsulation efficiency, consistency, prolonged and designed to target therapeutics, safety against degradation and microbial contamination, and improved pharmacological activity. It also emphasizes the relevance of nanoparticles as nano sensors/nano-bio sensing in encapsulating peptides, antibodies, enzymes, and other biomolecules, as well as their prospective applications in the packaged food business. As a consequence, the evaluation will concentrate on the advantages and new dimensions that nanomaterials and nanotechnology give in the health sector, such as improved effective treatments and quality of life.
