With the rapid advancement of science, various traditional medical treatments are progressively changing. A growing number of novel materials, methods and technologies are involved in promoting the development of biomedicine. Multifunctionalized materials were fabricated into varied nanocarrier for biomedicine applications. For instance, smart response materials for microenvironment in vivo and physicochemical in vitro have been concerned by many researchers in the field of drug carrier. The photothermal therapy and photodynamic therapy materials, including synthetic and natural biopolymers, have grabbed tons of researchers’ attention on biomedicine application. In recent years, the carbon-based multifunctional materials like carbon dots, graphene or carbon nanotubes have also been considered as the potential clinical application of diagnosis, detection, and treatment. Similarly, multifunctional nanocarriers with controllable physiochemical properties have been focused on for many years for targeting drug, DNA, or small molecules delivery.
