About this Research Topic
There is an emergent movement of scientists and scholars working on the dialogue and interaction between Eastern philosophies and psychology. Thus, we aim at exploring the most contemporary modes of Eastern philosophical, religious, spiritual thoughts and practices with particular emphasis on their significant application to current psychological research. Taking an eclectic approach to the study of human values, health, and emotional welfare, this international interdisciplinary section hopes to publish original peer-reviewed articles that deal with issues of mental and physical health, by integrating the contribution coming from Eastern philosophical traditions.
We would like to encourage the scientific community to join in the discussion of these questions. Frontiers in Psychology offers an online dialogue to intensify collaborations and drive research in the field. We welcome new empirical findings, theoretical proposals as well as thorough scientific reviews, and specific topics can include but are not limited to:
1.Exploring the most contemporary theories of Eastern philosophical, religious, spiritual thought and practice with particular emphasis on their relevance to current psychological research.
2.Presenting empirical articles that deal with mental, and physical, health in relation to Eastern philosophical, religious, spiritual thought and practice.
