In recent years, the field of nanotechnology and regenerative medicine has been advancing at an exponential rate. This is evident in the explosion in the number of papers generated dedicated to this field, and also the proliferation of journals that focus explicitly on this topic. Hence, it is fitting and appropriate that a Specialty Section is introduced for Frontiers in Pharmacology in order to capture and feature this exciting field. From nanoscale drug delivery to biologically-inspired materials for medicine, nanotechnology and regenerative medicine is poised to address human diseases in the 21st century. We are interested to receive papers on the broad field of nanoscience and nanotechnology specifically for biomedical applications. In addition, we would also consider papers on stem cells and drug molecules that aid in the repair and regeneration of human tissues and organs. We therefore welcome authors to submit high-quality research articles and reviews for this exciting Research Topic.
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
