About this Research Topic
A significant role in overcoming the environmental consequences of a linear economy associated with inefficient resource management and increased pollution is played by the circular economy; therefore it is important to ensure its functioning and development according to the principles of inclusive development and an appropriate business model for sustainable production.
The aim of this Research Topic therefore is to present innovative solutions of the Circular Economy Business Model in the linkages between of social, environmental, and economic aspects for sustainable production. We will specifically target recent developments in terms of Circular Economy Business Model management tools to move from linear production and consumption systems to sustainable, zero-waste production processes. We welcome work covering all research areas, from fundamentals aspects of indentation to industrial applications, including, but not limited to:
