About this Research Topic
The goal of this Research Topic is to present research that identifies new targeted approaches to treating cancer in the peritoneal cavity. This may include newly discovered drug targets, re-purposing of existing drugs, or new methods of drug delivery.
Research may include new targets identified that pertain to tumor hypoxia and related metabolic changes, tumor blood flow, drug delivery and drug metabolism. Research studying the cancer cells themselves, the microenvironment, or the immune milieu are encouraged. Potential treatments can include chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy. Authors are invited to submit original research or insightful literature reviews.
