About this Research Topic
As COVID-19 pandemic continues, most schools all around the world have been closed for a long period of time, different strategies have emerged in an attempt to continue to educate and support children, including providing education services in-person, distance learning, and various hybrid configurations like remote/distance strategies. Today, online education is emerged as a reality for everyone and digitalization of the school environment is a challenging process for each and every shareholder of education. School psychology consequently has had to adapt all aspects of research, training, and practice with regards to this challenge. This transformation of school environment and psychology needs to be discussed academically with the aspects of assessment, intervention, consultation and other forms of educational service in the foreseeable future.
This Research Topic welcomes manuscripts that aim to address an emerging and critically important topic of digitalization of education and the changing psychology of children with regards to this. Pro and Con arguments towards this digital change in the covid times seeks to contribute to the literature of educational technology and educational psychology. We are interested in manuscripts related to documenting the impact of COVID-19 as well as recommending solutions with scientific research that might support youth, families, educators, and allied professionals during this unprecedented time. Discussion of new educational technologies and negativistic psychology generated by the quarantined youth are believed to address a wide range of problems that needs to be tackled.
