About this Research Topic
The focus of this research topic is on the development and clinical application of the different quantitative imaging and artificial intelligence techniques in the field cardiovascular imaging. We will present novel experimental and clinical applications of these techniques for the proof of principle, the early diagnosis, the monitoring of response to therapy as well as the longitudinal follow-up of cardiovascular diseases. We will also focus on the potential of the different QI and AI techniques to better understand the biological processes during disease development.
The types of manuscripts we are interested in are original research, meta-analysis, state-of-the-art review and clinical case review.
Keywords: quantitative imaging, artificial intelligence, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiac CT, MRI, PET, SPECT, cardiology, radiology, spectral CT, photon counting CT, T1-Mapping, T2-Mapping, T2*-Mapping, deformation imaging, myocardial fibre
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
