About this Research Topic
The new method and technology of geothermal exploration and resources evaluation, the low reinjection rate of sandstone reservoir as the bottleneck of its sustainable development, and the high-efficiency hydrothermal underground heat transfer technology need to be further studied. This Research Topic aims to bring a forum for researchers in this field to address the latest and some common questions, such as the difficulties in predicting engineering and geological characteristics in the development of high-temperature and high-pressure hard rock thermal reservoir; the development of high-temperature measuring instruments and downhole tools; the demand of high drilling speed and low cost; the mechanistic understanding of the complexed dry hot rock geothermal system; and the theoretical studies of the resource enrichment.
