About this Research Topic
The symposium will provide young scientists a venue to expand their knowledge of recent advances in the field, as well as discuss and receive feedback on their research. The meeting is also designed to foster interactions and constructive networking with peers and established scientists.
The selected articles will highlight recent advances in the knowledge of Ethnopharmacology, and Experimental Pharmacology and Drug Discovery. Participants of the conference are welcome to submit their work which could be Original Research, Review, Mini review, or other type of articles. We welcome the following subtopics:
Ethnopharmacology
• Experimental pharmacology and pharmacognosy of medicinal plants.
• Isolation and characterization of key metabolites of medicinal plants.
• Clinical observations and trials.
Experimental Pharmacology and Drug Discovery
• Advances and new insights into the therapeutic applications of bioactive compounds.
• Metabolomic and lipidomic approaches in elucidation of mechanistic effect.
• Drug-biomolecule(s) interaction.
Pharmacology of Anti-Cancer Drugs
• Inventive drug design and prove of concept.
• Drugs targeting tumor cells, but also the various components of the tumor microenvironment.
• Innovative drug delivery concept and personalized medicine.
Note to the authors:
Upon submission, authors will need to select the Section of the Journal they wish to submit to, and the studies need to adhere to the scope of the section as well as quality guidelines, if applicable. Please see below.
- Ethnopharmacology – Studies submitted must comply with the “Four Pillars of Best Practice in Ethnopharmacology” (you can freely download the full version here) and fit in the scope of the section (see here).
- Experimental Pharmacology and Drug Discovery – Studies submitted must fit in the scope of the section (see here).
- Pharmacology of Anti-Cancer Drugs – Studies submitted must fit in the scope of the section (see here).
All the submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and, if accepted, articles will be published in the Journal Frontiers in Pharmacology.
Keywords: Ethnopharmacology, Drug Discovery, Antimicrobial, Traditional Medicine, Anti-Cancer Drugs, Experimental Pharmacology
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
