About this Research Topic
Daily changes in waves affect the coastal environment through mechanisms such as wave-induced longshore currents and beach morphology. Likewise, if extreme coastal hazards caused by storm surges and storm waves become more frequent and severe in the future, their impact should be taken into account when designing infrastructure (e.g., coastal embankments) that is designed for long-term use.
It is very important to make and develop assessments and establish adaptation strategies and policies to climate change. For this research theme, we invite manuscripts on the following topics:
1. Projections of coastal hazards and environment due to climate change
2. Impacts of climate change on coasts
3. Vulnerability of coasts to climate change
4. Coastal adaptation strategies and technologies and measures to adapt to climate change
We sincerely appreciate your contribution to this Research Topic.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
