About this Research Topic
The major goal of the present Research Topic is to attract a series of papers with the aim to evaluate the effects of different polyphenols form dietary sources on the central nervous system. To achieve this purpose, some pathological conditions will be taken into consideration such as: Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, Ataxia and Multiple Sclerosis. Either experimental, epidemiological or clinical trials are welcome in order to clarify the potential effects of polyphenols on central neuropathies. Emphasis will be also placed on aged-induced neurodegeneration, where a condition of inflamm-ageing aggravates the neurological clinical picture.
In order to bring to completion the above indicated issue, either original articles or review articles are welcome. As we stated above, the in vitro, epidemiological and in vivo effects of polyphenols will be discussed, in the context of pathologies, such as Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, Ataxia, Multiple Sclerosis and age-related neurodegeneration.
