About this Research Topic
This special issue collects papers that deal with thermal management of power batteries, which includes advanced cooling or heating technologies, such as passive thermal management with phase change materials, thermoelectric cooling, alternative current heating, etc. This collection intends to demonstrate the latest researches in battery thermal management and various new solutions to the temperature control of the batteries that are operated in different modes or in different environments. Both research work and review papers can be submitted. The research works can be done through experiments or simulations. But the simulation works must be validated with experimental data or the data in public literature.
The themes of this Research Topic are not limited to the items below, any paper related to battery thermal management could be considered:
· Air cooling
· Liquid cooling
· Phase change material cooling
· Thermoelectric cooling
· Heat pipe cooling
· Hybrid cooling
· Microchannel
· Battery heating technologies
Keywords: Battery thermal management, Cooling, Heating, Modeling
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
