About this Research Topic
Recent advances in signal computational methods have enabled the biomedical signals in an efficient way in order to extract appropriate features and has been an interesting subject for numerous research groups for over 40 years. More and more sophisticated methods are being developed and applied including various classifiers and filters. This Research Topic should focus on the most current trends in analysis of the most popular biosignals such as EEG, ECG, EMG, which would be processed for various applications such as inter alia clinical (rehabilitation, diagnostic purposes) or control (human-machine interaction).
This Research Topic “Currents in Biomedical Signals Processing - Methods and Applications” aims to provide a collection of contributions showing new advancements and applications of advanced processing of biosignals for various applications. Topics relevant to analysis of various biosignals are welcome. The scope of the Research Topic includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
-Analysis and processing of biosignals
-Modern pattern-recognition methods
-Clinical applications of biomedical signals
-Implementation of biomedical signals for the control purposes
-Human-Machine Interfaces
-Computational Neuroscience
-Neurodegenerative Disorders - new treatment approaches
Research papers as well as review papers are welcome for submission.
Keywords: biomedical signals, signal processing, cognitive sciences, neuroscience
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
