About this Research Topic
The goal of this Research Topic is to provide a comprehensive review of updates in concepts related to the biomechanics, physiology, and basic science of FAIS, as well as updates in the diagnosis and perioperative arthroscopic management of FAIS.
The Research Topic will look to cover, but is not limited to, the following topics:
• Use of Ultrasound in preoperative management
• Updates in use of plain radiographs in preoperative management
• Use of PRP and other biologics in the setting of FAIS
• Evaluation of Hip Squat Biomechanics and Gait Kinematics
• Use of Biomechanical Models to Assess Hip Translation and bone morphology
• Evaluation of additional causes of hip pain in FAIS patients
• Updates on management of avascular necrosis using subchondroplasty in FAIS patients
• Diagnostic and Surgical Management of the Revision Hip Arthroscopy patients
All manuscript types, including reviews, original research and perspectives, will be considered.
