About this Research Topic
The Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Think Tank is an annual meeting of approximately 100 world experts in the field. The DBS Think Tank addresses cutting edge research, technologies, and neuroethical issues in the field of neuromodulation. Speakers are encouraged to present late-breaking unpublished research. Contributions on the following themes are welcome:
• Ethico-legal issues in neuromodulation and DBS
• Emerging targets in DBS
• New methodologies for patient engagement
• Implications for neurodegenerative disease modeling and treatment
• Cutting edge DBS and neuromodulation research papers
Discussions of DBS Think Tank are summarized in an annual proceedings that is considered a highly influential publication in the field. This Research Topic will include both the summary of the published proceedings, as well as new research contributions from attendees of the meeting. The next meeting will be Sept 4-6, 2019 in Orlando FL.
