Abstract This comment aims to address critical inaccuracies in the data presented in Figure 5 of the original article, which reports incorrect food price data during the 2023/2024 Gaza war. Since the authors of the paper do not provide sources for most of the items, the data were cross-checked with reliable information from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) and the Food Price Monitoring and Analysis (FPMA) dataset. We found significant discrepancies in the reported values which invalidate some of the conclusions of the article. This comment aims to rectify these issues by presenting the corrected food prices based on reliable sources. Data Availability Statement The datasets generated for this study can be found in: 1. PCBS: Microdata Catalog, Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics https://www.pcbs.gov.ps/PCBS-Metadata-en-v5.2/index.php/catalog/?page=1&ps=15 2.
