In the published article, the reference for Food and Agriculture Organization was incorrectly included as: Food and Agriculture Office. (2021). It should be read as: Food and Agriculture Organization. (2021). FAO Members call for action against food loss and waste in the world's hungriest region—Asia and the Pacific. In addition, there was an error in the name of Food and Agriculture Office. A correction has been made to 2.2. Challenges to ASEAN food security, Paragraphs 5 and 6. These sentences previously stated:
The Food and Agriculture Office (2021) has highlighted the existing gaps in food systems that lead to food loss and waste, such as “unreliable infrastructure for storage and transportation, and access to electricity.”
The Food and Agriculture Office (2021) has stated that following the COVID-19 pandemic, the region faces challenges in terms of “logistics for local producer-to-consumer markets and scaling-up of networks for recovery and redistribution of safe and nutritious food for human consumption.”
The corrected sentences appear below:
The Food and Agriculture Organization (2021) has highlighted the existing gaps in food systems that lead to food loss and waste, such as “unreliable infrastructure for storage and transportation, and access to electricity.”

The authors apologize for these errors and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article in any way. The original article has been updated.
