A Corrigendum on
Data Science for Weather Impacts on Crop Yield
by Konduri, V. S., Vandal, T. J., Ganguly, S., and Ganguly, A. R. (2020). Front. Sustain. Food Syst. 4:52. doi: 10.3389/fsufs.2020.00052
In the original article, the following line in paragraph two of the “Results and Discussion” section was incorrect: “The outputs from GCMs, however, are only available as monthly averages which makes it difficult to capture the effect of weather extremes on yield.”
The correct version of this line is as follows: “The outputs from the current generation of GCMs, however, are usually not thought to be credible at the spatiotemporal resolutions required to directly capture the effect of weather extremes on crop yield.”
The authors apologize for this error and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article in any way. The original article has been updated.
Keywords: crop yield, weather indices, nonlinear regression, pairwise dependence, food security
