About this Research Topic
The mechanism of non-thermal plasma action in medicine and agriculture is still unknown. Additionally, the use of thermal and non-thermal plasma to achieve the sustainability goal is still very far away due to differences in efficiency and energy consumption, as compared to the conventional systems. Therefore, the aim of this Research Topic is to collect Original Research and Review articles on the most recent plasma applications and elucidate the characteristics of plasma and mechanisms of plasma-induced methods. The Research Topic will have a strong focus on the interactions of plasma generated species with organic and inorganic materials.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following list of plasma applications:
• Agricultural/Food processing
• Plasma processing
• Plasma diagnostics in gas and liquid phase
• CO2 conversion and N2 fixation with and without catalyst
• Mechanism of non-thermal plasma for Biomedical applications
• Organic and inorganic contaminants removal from water
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
