The field of veterinary clinical and experimental neurology has grown considerably in the past decade to encompass significant advances in the fields of neurobehavior, neurosurgery, neuropathology, and infectious disease. Recent research has begun to unravel the pathogenesis of intracranial cancer in the dog, the pathogenesis of various encephalitides, including infectious and non-infectious diseases, and many neurodegenerative conditions including lysosomal storage diseases and inherited central and peripheral nervous system disorders. However, many questions remain unanswered as it relates to disease prevalence, pathogenesis, etiology, surgical and medical treatment, and prognosis.
We invite you to submit your research on topics that pertain to pathogenesis and pathology of canine neurologic disease, such as metabolic disease (including storage diseases), neuroinflammatory diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, traumatic brain injury, peripheral nervous system diseases, and developmental disease.
