About this Research Topic
The LabEx IRON (Innovative Radiopharmaceuticals in Oncology and Neurology) represents a major pluridisciplinary research program in the field of nuclear medicine, supported by the ANR (The French National Research Agency) since 2012. The lab has 12 research teams working with a network of five cyclotrons, and the program has supported more than 40 preclinical research projects and clinical studies in the field of oncology and neurology. This Research Topic of Frontiers in Medicine will present collaborative review articles performed by researchers and physicians of the LabEx, with the objective to present innovations in PET imaging and radionuclide therapy as well as research in human and social science in the context of nuclear medicine. The Topic also welcomes external contributions specific to the theme.
Specialty Chief Editor, Françoise Kraeber-Bodéré and Research Topic Guest Associate Editors, Myriam Bernaudin, Pierre Payoux and Francesco Cicone would like to encourage these unique contributions to expose the high-quality research that the program has been generating to a new and broad audience.
Keywords: Positron emission tomography, radionuclide therapy, hemopathies, brain tumors, neurodegenerative diseases
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
