Following the success of previous volumes (see below), we are pleased to present Volume IV of this collection.
Ophthalmology has experienced significant growth over recent decades, highlighted by numerous breakthroughs in treatments for a range of eye diseases. Diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic macular edema, alongside less common conditions like genetic eye disorders and uveitis, have seen promising therapeutic advances. Concurrently, innovations in technology have transformed eye surgery, introducing cutting-edge procedures that enhance the safety, efficiency, and precision of surgical interventions.
This Research Topic is dedicated to collating and analyzing the latest developments in the therapeutic and surgical management of ocular diseases. The goal is to both summarize cutting-edge methods and provide a foresight into future directions in research, thereby enriching our understanding and treatment approaches in the field of ophthalmology.
To further expand our knowledge in this evolving field, we invite contributions that explore but are not limited to the following areas:
• Cataract and anterior segment surgery
• Corneal disorders
• Glaucoma treatment and surgery
• Pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus
• Retinal and vitreoretinal diseases
• Uveitis and ocular infections
• Oculoplastics and orbital diseases
• Management of ocular trauma
Each submission will enrich our understanding and potentially guide future investigative and clinical advances in ocular medicine.
Updates in Ocular Therapeutics and Surgery - Volume III
Updates in Ocular Therapeutics and Surgery - Volume II
Updates in Ocular Therapeutics and Surgery
Keywords:
strabismus, oculoplastics, retina, anti-VEGF, implants, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusions, trabeculectomy, shunts, ocular trauma
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
