About this Research Topic
This research topic aims to advance the understanding of the mechanisms underlying neuralgia and explore novel therapeutic strategies. By focusing on recent advancements in the pathophysiological understanding of various types of neuralgia, the research seeks to identify new targets for pharmacological intervention and innovative treatment approaches. The goal is to address the challenges in prevention, diagnosis, and clinical therapy, including the development of new medicines and operative procedures. Through this research, we aim to provide insights that can lead to translational approaches, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals affected by neuralgia.
To gather further insights into the mechanisms and therapy of neuralgia, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Pathophysiological mechanisms of different types of neuralgia
- Evaluation and development of new pharmacological treatments
- Pharmacogenomics of drugs used in neuralgia treatment
- Implementation and assessment of novel surgical and non-surgical procedures
- Clinical trials and case studies focusing on innovative therapeutic approaches
- Translational research aimed at improving patient outcomes
- Reviews and meta-analyses of existing literature on neuralgia mechanisms and treatments
