About this Research Topic
In the recent years, the importance of infectious diseases in animals, with zoonotic diseases in particular, has dramatically increased with the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the emergence and/or re-emergence of African and Classical swine fever, vector borne diseases, avian influenza, moneypox and many more.
Reviewing the knowledge of the pathology and pathogenesis of infectious diseases, including viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic, with a special focus also on host-pathogen interaction, will ensure that quick access to the key aspects of each disease will be available to students, academics and practicing veterinarians, medics and biomedical scientists.
In this Research Topic, we would like to receive Review manuscripts about the pathology of animal and human diseases, including animal models of disease, with a focus on macroscopic, microscopic or molecular pathology.
Keywords: #CollectionSeries, animal models, zoonotic diseases, infectious diseases, pathology
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
