“Fondazione Mondino” (http://www.mondino.it/english/) is a Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalisation and Healthcare (IRCCS) based in Pavia (Italy) dedicated to teaching, care and research in the fields of nervous system disorders, neuroscience and neurorehabilitation.
To mark and celebrate the 100th anniversary of its foundation, Fondazione Mondino organises the high-profile international scientific conference “Centenary of Fondazione Mondino, 1917-2017, one hundred years of Research and Care in Neuroscience “, aimed at physicians and researchers in the field of pre-clinical/clinical neuroscience and neurology. The conference gives the audience an overview of the most recent advances in research on disease mechanisms and of the main diagnostic and therapeutic innovations in thematic areas of historical significance for Fondazione Mondino.
This Research Topic collects manuscripts authored by the speakers participating in the conference with the aim of further increasing the visibility of the event and of the foundation.
