About this Research Topic
This Research Topic welcomes contributions that improves our understanding about processes and mechanisms in current and emerging themes of human physiology. Our primary focus is human body functions in a highly complex, although subtle as harmonious, unit. Data from human subjects will be prioritized. Potential areas of interest include, but are not limited to
- Integrative physiology
- Locomotion / Exercise / Muscle / Performance enhancement
- Active living and well-being
- Nutritional physiology
- Cardiovascular physiology
- Respiratory physiology
- Renal urinary physiology and water-electrolyte and metabolic balance
- Gastrointestinal physiology
- Endocrine, reproduction and developmental physiology
- Human aging
- Nervous system physiology
- Immune system physiology
- Comparative physiology
We welcome the submission of different article types to this collection, including reviews, mini-reviews, short-papers and full original research papers.
