The 10th Annual MetNet International Meeting (Barcelona, October 24-25, 2024, The 10th Annual MetNet International Meeting) brings together scientists from different research institutes and focuses on the regulation of mitochondrial function and metabolism in various contexts of health and disease.
This conference provides an interesting opportunity for productive discussions in the fields of immunology, aging and associated diseases, and liver diseases, always with a focus on mitochondria and metabolism. The meeting will offer an excellent environment for researchers to share recent advances in mitochondrial research and metabolism and find avenues of synergy in a multidisciplinary and complementary manner.
This Frontiers Research Topic gathers new insights from MetNet International Meeting participants, covering the most important presentations from the meeting. Spontaneous submissions from non-attending researchers working on mitochondrial research are also welcomed.
We will consider various article types for this collection, especially original research papers, reviews, and mini-reviews. Although abstract submission is not mandatory, we encourage all interested researchers to submit an abstract before submitting their manuscript. Abstracts do not need to coincide with the final abstract of the manuscripts.
Dr. Mariona Guitart-Mampel declares no conflict of interest. Dr. Marc Liesa is a co-founder of Enspire Bio and was a consultant of Enspire Bio and Capacity Bio, and received sponsored research agreements in the past from Mitoconix, Janssen, Amgen and Bantam Pharmaceutical.
Keywords:
mitochondria, metabolism, liver diseases, aging, health, immunology, disease
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
