This Research Topic aims to shed light on the recent progress in genome editing technology and its emerging applications in enhancing the variety, quality, safety, and sustainability of medicine, agriculture, and cosmetics.
We, the Research Topic editors, encourage researchers to submit Original Researches, Brief Research Reports, Systematic Reviews, Reviews, mini-reviews, and Clinical Trials relevant to genome editing technologies and their applications in the medical, agricultural, and cosmetic fields including, but not limited to the following themes:
1. Review the latest developments in genome editing techniques in relevant fields, including CRISPR-Cas9, base editing, and synthetic biology approaches.
