About this Research Topic
As society continues to develop, the importance of people's health is becoming increasingly prominent. It is imperative to speed up the construction of a multilevel medical security system with the goal of effectively addressing people's concerns about illness and continuously improving the quality of health. In addition, as an important production factor in the information age, health care big data has profoundly changed the health service model, comprehensively enhancing the ability to handle public health emergencies, improving the quality and effectiveness of health care services, and promoting the sharing of medical resources for the benefit of all, which has strongly contributed to the leapfrog development of health care. Moreover, the construction of high-quality health insurance data is of great significance to better benefit the people and the public. Therefore, it has become a research goal to actively explore the use of health insurance data to empower and build institutional mechanisms to help the pharmaceutical industry innovate and develop.
This Research Topic aims to achieve four main goals: (1) to clarify the current situation, developing trend, or characteristics of multilevel medical security systems in the world or in different countries; (2) to explore the role played by government actions and health policies in multilevel medical security systems; (3) to discuss the application of health care big data in system building, institutional operation, clinical research and development, diagnosis and treatment, and lifestyle; (4) to look into the issues of building big data for health care security in the context of digitization and informatization. We welcome submissions that offer realistic insights by analyzing historical cases and making logical predictions about future scenarios.
