About this Research Topic
The proportion of children and adolescents worldwide who meet the overall 24-Hour Movement Guidelines is currently low. In many areas, the challenges are more acute. We need to have a better understanding of 24-hour movement behavior among children and adolescents.
We will accept articles on the measurement and evaluation of 24-hour movement behavior, the relationship between 24-hour movement behavior and health, empirical studies on recommended 24-hour movement behavior, and promotion measures for 24-hour movement behavior. We invite experts in 24-hour movement behavior and child and adolescent health to submit scientific papers related to the area presented here.
The first purpose of this Research Topic is to develop a questionnaire on 24-hour movement behavior of children and adolescents from different cultural backgrounds, so as to provide a reliable, convenient and practical measurement tool for related research. Secondly, through large-scale population survey, explore the distribution characteristics, influencing factors and health benefits of 24-hour movement behavior of children and adolescents. Third, through empirical research, provide more references for formulating 24-hour movement behavior guidelines for children and adolescents. Finally, we aim to develop measures to promote 24-hour movement behavior among children and adolescents at the family, school and community.
● Develop a 24-hour movement behavior questionnaire for children and adolescents in different cultural backgrounds.
● The differences of children and adolescents' 24-hour movement behavior in age, gender, race, region and other aspects and related influencing factors.
● The association of 24-hour movement behavior of children and adolescents with overweight and obesity, physical fitness, mental health, well-being, cognitive ability and academic performance.
● Empirical research on the recommended amount of 24-hour movement behavior for children and adolescents.
● Promotion measures for children and adolescents' 24-hour movement behavior at family, school and community.
