Soft materials and their composites are integral to modern human civilization, encompassing materials such as rubber composites, nanocomposites, shape memory polymers, hydrogels, and biomaterials. Developing these novel materials is a complex task that necessitates ensuring superior mechanical properties for their reliable application.
This Research Topic aims to create a modern repository of recent advances in theoretical modelling and experimental studies of soft materials. Contributions that explore beyond traditional rubber composites to include novel soft materials with significant potential for innovative applications, such as shape memory polymers, hydrogels, and biomaterials, are highly encouraged.
