About this Research Topic
The central goal of this research Topic is to offer a comprehensive examination of the central part the circadian rhythm plays in dictating physiology, development, metabolism, and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The particular focus will be aligned with the sphere of tumor chronotherapy.
We are calling for submissions that address the broader aspects of the intricate subject of the biological clock for this special issue. We are particularly interested in contributions concerning the following, although our interests are by no means limited to these areas:
• Research papers analyzing the governance of circadian rhythm in both normal physiological and developmental contexts.
• Comprehensive reviews that detail circadian rhythm mechanisms in conditions like malignant tumors, mental disorders, and cardiovascular ailments.
• Insightful viewpoints on disease chronotherapy based on the principles of the biological clock.
• Studies showcasing advances in methods for diagnosing circadian rhythm disorders.
• Investigations into new mechanisms influencing the regulation of circadian rhythm.
Through a diverse range of submissions, we hope to broaden our understanding and provide crucial insights within the field of Biological Clock research.

Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
