About this Research Topic
The objective of this Research Topic, integrated in the ISPNR 2024, is to group high-quality research articles and review articles that encompass recent relevant advances in peripheral nerve regeneration after injury, both in a basic and translational research approach. We invite researchers to submit their original research and literature review articles, which encompass new therapies in fields as diverse as cell-based Therapies, Biomaterials, Gene Therapies, Paracrine Therapies, Nutritional Therapies, Conservative Therapies and Computational Research, new or improved functional and imaging assessment methods, and histomorphometric assessment methodologies.
ISPNR 2024 will bring together renowned speakers, scientists, and researchers from several countries who are coming together to share their breakthrough research results in the field of Peripheral Nerve Regeneration and build new collaborations, and this Research Topic is open to all participants and speakers at the event, and also to all researchers working on this topic.
Areas of research suitable for submission to this Research Topic include, but are not limited to, the following themes:
• Principles of research in nerve regeneration and repair
• Innovative biomaterials and tissue engineering strategies for peripheral nerve repair and regeneration
• Cell-based therapies for peripheral nerve repair and regeneration
• Medical, medicinal, and conservative approaches to peripheral nerve regeneration
Keywords: regenerative tissue, stem cells, research strategies
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
