About this Research Topic
This Research Topic is focused on manuscripts describing and/or characterizing new animal and cellular models for neurological/neurodegenerative diseases and brain inflammation. Special attention will be given to those works describing/involving humanized animal models as well as studies based on human pluripotent stem cell technologies, strategies that will lead neurodegenerative diseases research in the coming years.
This Research Topic is open to basic and clinical research with special emphasis on multidisciplinary approaches covering both original articles and reviews on the following topics:
• Characterization of new models relevant to neurological diseases and brain inflammation.
• Studies employing new cellular and animal models focused on neurological diseases and brain inflammation.
• Studies employing human pluripotent stem-cell-derived neuronal and glial cells for neurological diseases.
• Evaluation of candidate therapies for neurological and/or neurodegenerative diseases.
• Modeling of neurological diseases and conditions related to brain inflammation.
We look forward to your contributions to this important and evolving field of research.
