Nano-preparations, like nanogels, polymeric nanomaterials, and nanocrystals, present extensive diagnostic, and therapeutic possibilities, demonstrating exceptional properties not offered by other materials. The recent advances in the fabrication and synthesis of these new nano-platforms have birthed opportunities for utilizing a diverse range of materials. Such nano-preparations can be merged with high and low-molecular-weight materials and can be engineered to bind these materials with varying potencies.
However, a profound comprehension of nanomaterial design is required for superior drug delivery systems. The main challenge in drug delivery today is indeed exploring new approaches that allow efficient delivery at the target site, with a delivery vehicle that overcomes all hindrances for effective therapeutic agent delivery.
Polymeric nanomaterials, nanogels, and nanocrystals, which find varied applications in pharmaceuticals and nanotechnology, have the potential to be valuable materials in the creation and design of nanoscale preparations to achieve this goal.
The ultimate objective of the application of this nanoscale technology is to sustain a therapeutically active amount of drug consistently at the target site with minimal interindividual variation. The purpose of this article collection is to promptly publish state-of-the-art and high-quality manuscripts encompassing all facets of nano-preparations for drug delivery, polymeric technology, nanogel, and nanocrystals applications, and nano-based drug development.
We welcome submissions of Original Research, Review, Mini Review, and Perspective articles on themes including, but not limited to:
• Polymeric compounds, natural and synthetic, and their characterization
• Synthesis and characterization of nanogels
• Synthesis and characterization of nanocrystals
• Nanocomposites and their use in drug delivery, multifunctional nanomaterials
• Technological applications of nano-preparations in pharmaceuticals, biosensors, medicine, energy, and optoelectronics
• Novel findings on nano-based DDS and their diagnostic and therapeutic impacts with an understanding of the corresponding structural, molecular properties, and applications
• Studies of diverse delivery systems that report on the properties and applications of nanomaterials
• Original research articles reporting in vitro and in vivo data, characterization of nano-based DD systems, reviews, commentaries, and reports on nano-based DDS will be considered
