About this Research Topic
The goal of this Research Topic is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers and clinicians working in the fields of bone, cartilage, and degenerative skeletal diseases. We aim to address key challenges in understanding the molecular mechanisms driving these disorders and to explore innovative approaches for their diagnosis and treatment. By bringing together cutting-edge research and recent advances in the field, we aspire to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art and to identify promising directions for future investigation and clinical translation.
This Research Topic welcomes original research articles, reviews, and clinical studies that contribute to our understanding of bone, cartilage, and degenerative skeletal diseases. Specific themes of interest include but are not limited to:
Molecular mechanisms underlying cartilage repair and regeneration
Pathophysiology and therapeutic targets in osteoarthritis
Novel insights into degenerative skeletal diseases
Advances in the diagnosis and management of metabolic bone diseases
Applications of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in skeletal tissue repair
We encourage authors to submit manuscripts that present novel findings, innovative methodologies, and critical evaluations of existing research. Submissions should adhere to the journal's guidelines for formatting and ethical conduct.
Keywords: Cartilage Repair, osteoarthritis, degenerative skeletal disease, metabolic bone disease, molecular mechanism, tissue engineering
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
