The prevalence of cardiac arrhythmias undermines the quality of life for many patients and raises their cardiovascular risks. In recent years, the field of precision medicine has witnessed an escalating interest in this area as developing techniques assist electrophysiologists improving patient outcomes. However, ongoing efforts are crucial since the challenges posed by atrial and ventricular arrhythmias evolve constantly and a balance between under and overtreatment of these conditions is of paramount importance.
In this Research Topic, our focus is on critical aspects of arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment also in the context of precision medicine, offering a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art. We aim to facilitate clinical decision-making and enhance patient outcomes through original research, clinical trials, and reviews. To accomplish this, we will highlight data concerning not just the understanding of the pathophysiological nature of arrhythmias, but also of patient management.
