About this Research Topic
The aim of this Research Topic is to gain new insights into the underlying mechanisms by which exercise may reduce the risk of cancer recurrence, progression and survival, and all-cause mortality.
We welcome original preclinical and clinical research and review articles focused on, but not limited to:
• Systemic adaptive responses to exercise (e.g., inflammatory markers, insulin, growth factors);
• Mitigation of adverse effects of treatment (e.g., fatigue, sarcopenia/cachexia);
• Enhancing the curative effects of treatment;
• Direct effect on tumour (e.g., improved profusion, vascular sheer stress, tumor metabolism, immune response/mobilization and immune cell infiltration of tumors)
Keywords: Cancer, Exercise, Mortality, Morbidity, Physical Activity, Progression, Recurrence, Survival, Mechanisms
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
