Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common type of liver cancer and ranks among the leading causes of cancer-related deaths globally. Traditional treatment methods, including surgical resection, liver transplantation, and chemotherapy, often fall short in effectively managing HCC, highlighting the urgent need for novel therapeutic strategies. In recent years, antibody-based immunotherapy has gained traction as a promising approach in the fight against HCC. Significant advancements have been made in the development and clinical application of these therapies, particularly monoclonal antibodies that target immune checkpoints like PD-1 and CTLA-4, which have shown considerable efficacy in certain HCC patient populations.
