About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims to offer timely updates in the state-of-the-art micro- and nano-sized platforms for diagnostics and therapeutics of diseases. Original research papers, reviews, and mini-review papers are all welcome.
The scope of the Research Topic includes:
1. Micro/Nanostructured drug delivery systems such as silica nanoparticles, biomimetic nanoparticles, extracellular vesicles, micelles, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles, microneedles, and inorganic particles.
2. Imaging modalities such as MRI imaging, fluorescence imaging, CT imaging, and photoacoustic imaging from micro/nanostructured materials.
3. Therapeutics like chemotherapy, photodynamic therapy, sonodynamic therapy, immunotherapy, and photothermal therapy.
4. New Fabrication methods for micro/nanostructured materials.
5. Interactions between biological systems and structured materials.
6. Biocompatibility of micro/nanostructured materials intended for biomedical applications.
