About this Research Topic
This Research Topic aims at exploring the latest research progress in neurodegenerative diseases in elderly populations, including disease mechanisms, disease treatment and rehabilitation. The aim of this study is to understand the latest pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases and provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of the diseases. In addition, it aims to stay at the forefront of the latest therapeutic applications and rehabilitation protocols in the field, striving to significantly improve the quality of life for our aging population affected by neurodegenerative diseases.
Researchers are invited to contribute original research articles, reviews, mini-reviews, systematic reviews, clinical trials, case reports, perspectives, opinions, and study protocols pertinent to this article collection. Potential themes for the proposed Research Topic include but are not limited to:
• Research on the mechanism of neurodegenerative diseases
• The latest treatments for neurodegenerative diseases
• Rehabilitation treatment of neurodegenerative diseases
• Employing innovative digital technologies for the assessment and management of neurodegenerative diseases in older adults
• Motor control/motor learning and measurement in domains related to rehabilitation physiotherapy practice of neurodegenerative diseases in older adults
