About this Research Topic
The primary goal of this Research Topic is to catalyze groundbreaking research and foster a deeper understanding of endocrine-related cancers. By highlighting innovative studies in targeted therapies, biomarker research, and advanced modeling techniques like organoids and organ-on-a-chip, we aim to bridge the gap between experimental research and clinical practice. Our objective is to create a collaborative platform that not only disseminates cutting-edge scientific knowledge but also encourages the development of novel therapeutic strategies, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes in the realm of endocrine-related oncology.
We warmly invite researchers worldwide to share their original research and innovative insights, collectively advancing the scientific development in this field. The column will cover:
• Innovations in Targeted Therapy: Studies on new targeted therapies, including their mechanisms of action and clinical applications in endocrine-related cancers. Discussions on resistance to current targeted treatments and strategies to overcome them are encouraged.
• Discovery and Application of Biomarkers: Submissions on the identification, validation, and application of new biomarkers in therapeutic decision-making. Analysis of the role of biomarkers in revealing the heterogeneity of endocrine-related cancers.
• Application of Organoid and Organ-on-a-Chip Technologies in Cancer Research: Contributions using organoid models and organ-on-a-chip technologies for tumor microenvironment simulation and drug response studies are welcomed. Exploration of the potential of these models in personalized medicine and new drug development.
• Opportunities and Challenges in Interdisciplinary Research: Interdisciplinary research that combines genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, and other fields. Discussions on accelerating cancer treatment progress through interdisciplinary collaboration.
• New Perspectives in Clinical and Translational Research: Sharing of cases where laboratory research has been translated into clinical applications, including clinical trials and patient treatment outcomes. Discussions on the challenges and opportunities in translating laboratory findings into clinical practice.
