About this Research Topic
With the United Nations Africa Industrialization Day (Mon, Nov 20), the aim of this wide-ranging and inclusive Research Topic is to embody sustainable manufacturing technologies developed in Africa. As well as this, we aim to highlight the contribution of African researchers to the world in areas such as life cycle engineering, automation of systems, software technologies, and precision engineering.
Please note: To be considered for this collection, the first or last author should be based in Africa and/or highlight themes or subjects relating to African industry.
This Research Topic welcomes manuscripts in the form of Original Research, Reviews, Mini-Reviews, etc. exploring themes of interest including, but not limited to the following:
• Sustainable, ethical, and responsible sourcing,
• Industry 4.0 technologies for life cycle management,
• Green and sustainable logistics,
• Green chemistry,
• Sustainable supply chain management,
• Sustainable manufacturing,
• Treatment of real leather wastewater collected from African industries,
• Manufactured technologies for water recycling,
• Manufactured technologies for energy storage,
• Energy optimization, such as battery energy storage, thermal energy storage, mechanical energy storage, hydropower, wind energy, and green hydrogen,
• Additive manufacturing in energy storage and generation.
