About this Research Topic
This Special Issue discusses the latest innovations in various fields of science and engineering and their applications to perioperative medicine, pain management, and intensive care. It specifically focuses on how new devices, technologies, and algorithms can be applied to optimize preoperative risk stratification, intraoperative decision-making and monitoring, and short- and long-term postoperative recovery.
This Issue specifically focuses on applications of molecular omics, machine learning, sensors, and nanotechnology. It is also interested in “anesthetics as a new technology” and will evaluate manuscripts discussing the use of anesthetics as a novel diagnostic or therapeutic tool for diseases, like psychiatric or oncologic disease.
Articles in this Special Issue include original research, reviews, novel hypotheses, and commentaries on applications of these emerging technologies in perioperative medicine.
Keywords: Machine Learning, Artificial intelligence, Biotechnology, Biosensors, Algorithms
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
