About this Research Topic
This research topic aims to explore the intersection of cardiology, personalized medicine, and digital health to address the complex challenges of managing cardiac arrhythmias. The key goals of the research topic are to advance personalized medicine by showcasing cutting-edge research and innovative approaches, emphasize the integration of digital platforms and technologies into arrhythmia management, and present studies and interventions that empower patients to actively participate in their care. Additionally, the research will demonstrate the economic impact of using digital platforms in arrhythmia management, such as reduced hospitalizations, emergency room visits, and optimized resource allocation.
To gather further insights into the integration of digital health in cardiac arrhythmia management, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Digital Health Platforms and the integration of other digital health technologies in cardiac arrhythmia management.
- The role of telemedicine and remote care in expanding access to specialized care for arrhythmia patients, with a focus on technological advancements and regulatory considerations.
- The role of digital health platforms in patient engagement and empowerment, including strategies aiming to actively involve patients in their care through education, self-management/self-monitoring, and patient education.
- Studies and articles focusing on the economic impact of digital platforms in arrhythmia management, as well as cost-effectiveness studies, potential evaluation frameworks, and strategies for optimized implementation.
- The role of digital health platforms in creating solid datasets and optimized info-structures that could enable personalized approaches in the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
We welcome a variety of manuscript types, including but not limited to: Original research articles, Review articles, Case studies, and others.
