About this Research Topic
This research topic aims to explore the intricate neuroimmunoendocrine regulatory mechanisms involving Nuclear Receptors. By compiling and systematizing studies on NRs' roles in both physiological and pathological states, the research seeks to enhance the development of this field. The objective is to expand our understanding of potential therapeutic strategies for disorders linked to NR dysregulation and to explore how NRs contribute to the modulation of endocrine and neuro-immuno-metabolic responses. This will lay the groundwork for novel intervention approaches for diseases associated with these disturbances.
To gather further insights into the complex roles of Nuclear Receptors in health and disease, we welcome articles addressing, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Influence and implication of NRs in physiological circuits.
- Participation of NRs in the crosstalk between the endocrine and neuro-immuno-metabolic response in health and disease.
- Effects of hormones and other ligands on NR regulation.
- Design of novel therapeutic approaches involving NRs.
